How to collect Support Material in EMC Celerra / VNX Storage

Step to Collect Support Materials in Celera or VNX Storage:


1. Open Putty and SSH to the Control Station IP address.

2. Log into CS using the nasadmin user

3. Become the root user

      $ su
      Password:

4. Start the script using the below command. No intervention is required.

        # /nas/tools/collect_support_materials

5. Output of the script will be saved in /nas/var/emcsupport

6. Look for the latest file support_materials_CK200XXXXXXXXX.Date_Time.zip

7. Transfer the file to your desktop using a FTP transfer method.
